Air dryers forming A\/B\/C according to DIN 42567 \/ EN 50216-5 are used for drying and cleaning the intake air of distribution transformers. In this way, the reduction in the electrical breaking strength of the insulating material caused by humid ambient air and the formation of condensation in the expansion tank can be prevented. Silica gel dry beads of at least 3 mm are used as drying agent. To ensure proper air tightness, the oil reservoir must be filled with oil up to the marked minimum limit. <\/p>\n

A \/ B \/ C air dryers are available in 3 different connection types:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Air dryer type A DIN 42567 (angled oval flange)
Air dryer Form B DIN 42567 (flat oval flange)
Air dryer Type C (1\/2, 3\/4 or 1 internal thread)<\/p>\n

All three types have an optional filling capacity of 1 kg or 0.5 kg. A \/ B \/ C air dryers can also be supplied with acrylic glass cylinders. <\/p>\n
